The optional DC to DC converter is required on carts that only have 36-volt to 48-volt power available. The DC to DC converter converts the cart 36 VDC to 48 VDC power to 12 VDC power required for the CartCool System.
The converter typically is:
- NOT required for gas-powered carts
- NOT required if 12 VDC is available on cart
- Required for carts with 36 to 48-volt battery source
Any aftermarket DC to DC converter can be used provided it will supply 12VDC at 8 amps.
